    21ሳኦልም እንዲህ አለ፦ እርስዋን እሰጠዋለሁ፥ ለእርሱ ወጥመድ ትሆንለት ዘንድ እና የፍልስጥኤማውያን እጅ በእርሱ ላይ ትሆን ዘንድ። ስለዚህ ሳኦል ለዳዊት ነገረው፦ ዛሬ በእነርሱ ሁለቱ አንዲቱ በኩል ወጄ ትሆናለህ።

    23ሳኦል አገልጋዮቹም እነዚያን ቃላት በዳዊት ጆሮ ተናገሩ። ዳዊትም አለ፦ እኔ ድሀ እና በማክበር ዝቅ የሆንሁ ሲሆን የንጉሥ ወግ መሆን ለእናንተ ቀላል ነገር ይመስላችኋል?
