ከዚያ ሮጠች ወደ ስምዖን ጴጥሮስና ኢየሱስ የወደደው ወደ ሌላው ደቀ መዛሙር መጣች እና እንዲህ አለቻቸው፦ ጌታን ከመቃብሩ ወስደዋል፤ ያዙት ወዴት እንደሆነም አናውቅም።

    14ይህን ከተናገረች በኋላ ወደ ኋላ ተመለሰች እና ኢየሱስን ቆሞ አየች፤ ነገር ግን እርሱ ኢየሱስ መሆኑን አላወቀችም።

    15ኢየሱስም እንዲህ አላት፦ ሴት, ለምን ታለቅሻለሽ? ማንን ትፈልጊያለሽ? እርሷም እርሱን አትክልተኛው መሆኑን አስብታ እንዲህ አለችው፦ ጌታዬ, እርሱን ከዚህ ወስደህ ከሆነ የአኖርከውን ቦታ ንገረኝ፤ እኔም እወስደዋለሁ።
