እግዚአብሔርም እርስዋንና ንጉሧን ደግሞ ወደ እስራኤል እጅ አሳልፎ ሰጠ፤ በሰይፍም መታዋ፥ በውስጧም ያሉ ሁሉ ነፍሳት ቈርጦ አጠፋ፥ በእርስዋም ውስጥ ማንም እንዳይቀር አደረገ፤ ንጉሧንም እንደ የኢያሪኮ ንጉሥ አደረገበት አደረገ።

    34ከላኪስ ኢያሱ እስራኤል ሁሉ ከእርሱ ጋር ወደ ኤግሎን አለፉ፥ በእርስዋም ላይ ሰፈሩና ተዋጉባት።

    35በዚያ ቀን ወስዷት፥ እንደ በላኪስ ያደረገው ሁሉ በሰይፍ መታዋ፥ በውስጧ ያለውን ሁሉ ነፍሳት በዚያ ቀን ፈጽሞ አጠፋ።

    36ከኤግሎን ኢያሱ እስራኤል ሁሉ ከእርሱ ጋር ወደ ኬብሮን ወጡ፥ በእርስዋም ላይ ተዋጉ።

    37እርስዋንም ወሰዱ፥ በሰይፍም መታዋ፥ ንጉሧንና ከተሞችዋን ሁሉ እንዲሁም በውስጧ ያሉ ሁሉ ነፍሳት፤ እንደ በኤግሎን ያደረገው ሁሉ በእርስዋ ውስጥ ማንም እንዳይቀር አደረገ፥ እርስዋንና በውስጧ ያሉ ሁሉ ነፍሳት ፈጽሞ አጠፋ።

    38ከዚያም ኢያሱ እስራኤል ሁሉ ከእርሱ ጋር ወደ ደብር ተመለሱ፥ በእርስዋም ላይ ተዋጉ።

    39እርስዋንም ንጉሧንና ከተሞችዋን ሁሉ ወሰዳ፥ በሰይፍም መታቸውና በውስጧ ያሉ ሁሉ ነፍሳት ፈጽሞ አጠፋ፥ ማንንም እንዳይቀር አደረገ፤ እንደ በኬብሮን ያደረገው ሁሉ ለደብርና ለንጉሧ አደረገ፥ እንዲሁም እንደ ለሊብናና ንጉሧ ያደረገው ሁሉ።

    40እንግዲህ ኢያሱ የተራሮች አገርን፣ ደቡቡን፣ ሸለቆውንና ኰረብታዎች ግርጌ አገርን እና ነገሥታታቸውን ሁሉ መታ፤ የሚቀር ማንንም አልተወም፥ ነገር ግን እስትንፋስ ያለውን ሁሉ ፈጽሞ አጠፋ፥ እንደ የእስራኤል አምላክ እግዚአብሔር ያዘዘው እንዲሁ።

    41ኢያሱም ከቄዴስ-ባርኔዓ ጀምሮ እስከ ጋዛ ድረስ፣ የጎሴን አገር ሁሉን እስከ ጊብዖን ድረስ መታ።

    42እነዚህን ነገሥታትና ምድራቸውን ሁሉ ኢያሱ በአንድ ጊዜ ወሰደ፤ ምክንያቱም የእስራኤል አምላክ እግዚአብሔር ስለ እስራኤል ተዋጋ።

    10በዚያኑ ጊዜ ኢያሱ ተመልሶ ሐጾርን ወሰደ፤ ንጉሡንም በሰይፍ መታ፤ ሐጾር ቀድሞ የእነዚያ መንግሥታት ሁሉ ራስ ነበረችና።

    11በውስጧ ያሉ ነፍሳት ሁሉን በሰይፍ መትተው ፈጽሞ አጠፉአቸው፤ የሚተነፍስ ማንም አልቀረም፤ ሐጾርንም በእሳት አቃጠለ።

    12እነዚያ ነገሥታት የነበሩበትን ከተሞች ሁሉና ነገሥታቸውን ሁሉ ኢያሱ ወሰደ፤ በሰይፍ መታቸውና እንደ እግዚአብሔር ባሪያው ሙሴ እንዳዘዘ ፈጽሞ አጠፋቸው።

    13ነገር ግን በምሽጋቸው የቆመ ከተሞች ከእነርሱ እስራኤል ምንም አላቃጠለም፤ ሐጾርን ብቻ ኢያሱ አቃጠለ።

    14ከእነዚያ ከተሞች የበዝን ሁሉና ከብቶችን የእስራኤል ልጆች ለራሳቸው ምርኮ አድርገው ወሰዱ፤ ነገር ግን ሰውን ሁሉ በሰይፍ መቱ እስኪያጠፉአቸው ድረስ፥ የሚተነፍስ ማንንም አላስቀሩም።
