The altar shall be square, and its height shall be three cubits. 2 You shall make horns for it on its four corners; the horns shall be of one piece with it. You shall overlay it with bronze. 3 You shall make pots to remove its ashes, along with its shovels, basins, forks, and firepans. All its utensils shall be made of bronze. 4 You shall construct a grating of bronze network. On the four corners of the grating, you shall make four bronze rings. 5 You shall set the grating below the ledge of the altar, from beneath, and the net shall extend halfway up the altar. 6 You shall make poles of acacia wood for the altar and overlay them with bronze. 7 The poles shall be inserted into the rings, so the poles are on two sides of the altar for carrying it. 8 The altar shall be hollow, made with boards. Just as it was shown to you on the mountain, so it shall be made.
- Exod 30:18-21 : 18 You shall make a bronze basin, with its base of bronze, for washing. Place it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it. 19 Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and feet with water from it. 20 When they enter the tent of meeting or approach the altar to minister by presenting a fire offering to the LORD, they must wash with water so that they will not die. 21 They shall wash their hands and feet so that they will not die. This will be a perpetual statute for them—for him and for his descendants throughout their generations.

He made all its utensils of bronze. 4 He made a grate for the altar, a bronze network, to place beneath the ledge, halfway up the altar. 5 He cast four rings on the four corners of the bronze grate as holders for the poles. 6 He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with bronze. 7 He inserted the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar for carrying it. He made the altar hollow, out of boards. 8 He made the bronze basin and its stand of bronze from the mirrors of the women who served at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
