If you lie down among the sheepfolds, you will find wings of a dove covered with silver and its feathers with shimmering gold.

Pursue your enemies and attack them from behind. But a few survivors managed to retreat to their fortified cities. 21 Then the entire army returned safely to Joshua at the camp in Makkedah, and no one dared to criticize the people of Israel. 22 And Joshua said, “Open the mouth of the cave and bring out the five kings to me.” 23 They did so, and brought out the five kings from the cave—the kings of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish, and Eglon. 24 When they brought out these kings to Joshua, he summoned all the men of Israel and said to the commanders of the warriors who had gone with him, 'Come forward and put your feet on the necks of these kings.' He treated the king of Makkedah as he had treated the king of Jericho. 29 Then Joshua and all Israel with him moved on from Makkedah to Libnah and fought against it. 30 The LORD gave Libnah into Israel's hands, along with its king. He treated its king as he had treated the king of Jericho. 31 Then Joshua and all Israel with him advanced from Libnah to Lachish. They camped against it and fought against it. 32 The LORD gave Lachish into Israel's hands, and they captured it on the second day.
