5not by works [done] in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
23and that he might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which he afore prepared unto glory,
2according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.
3Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
14which is an earnest of our inheritance, unto the redemption of [God's] own possession, unto the praise of his glory.
13But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, for that God chose you from the beginning unto salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
9For God appointed us not into wrath, but unto the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
13who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
4knowing, brethren beloved of God, your election,
30But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:

13for it is God who worketh in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure.
3seeing that his divine power hath granted unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that called us by his own glory and virtue;
1Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children;
