    11When all the people of Jabesh-Gilead heard what the Philistines had done to Saul, they acted.

    12All the valiant men arose, took the bodies of Saul and his sons, brought them to Jabesh, and buried their bones under the oak tree in Jabesh. Then they fasted for seven days.
