    4Ben-Hadad listened to King Asa and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel. They attacked Ijon, Dan, Abel Maim, and all the storehouse cities of Naphtali.

    5When Baasha heard about it, he stopped fortifying Ramah and ceased his work.

    6Then King Asa mobilized all Judah. They carried away the stones and timber Baasha had used to fortify Ramah, and Asa used them to fortify Geba and Mizpah.

    7At that time, Hanani the seer came to King Asa of Judah and said to him, 'Because you relied on the king of Aram and not on the LORD your God, the army of the king of Aram has escaped from your hand.'

    27Baasha son of Ahijah, from the tribe of Issachar, conspired against Nadab and struck him down at Gibbethon, a Philistine town, while Nadab and all Israel were laying siege to it.

    28Baasha killed Nadab in the third year of Asa king of Judah and reigned in his place.

    29As soon as Baasha became king, he killed the entire house of Jeroboam. He did not leave a single soul alive, utterly destroying them, in accordance with the word of the LORD spoken through His servant Ahijah the Shilonite.
