The king said to him, 'How many times must I make you swear to tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?'

5 So the king of Israel gathered the prophets, four hundred men, and asked them, 'Shall we go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or should I refrain?' They answered, 'Go up, for God will give it into the hand of the king.'
26 Then the king of Israel ordered, 'Take Micaiah and return him to Amon, the governor of the city, and to Joash, the king’s son.'
27 And say, ‘This is what the king says: Put this man in prison and feed him only bread and water of affliction until I return safely.’
28 Micaiah said, 'If you ever return safely, the LORD has not spoken through me.' Then he added, 'Pay attention, all you people!'
17 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, 'Didn't I tell you that he never prophesies anything good about me, but only bad?'
18 Micaiah continued, 'Therefore hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, with all the host of heaven standing on his right and on his left.'
19 And the LORD said, 'Who will entice Ahab king of Israel into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there?' One suggested this, and another that.
42 the king summoned Shimei and said to him, 'Did I not make you swear by the LORD and warn you, “On the day you leave and go anywhere, you can be certain you will die”? And you said to me, “What you say is good; I will obey.”
43 Why then did you not keep your oath to the LORD and obey the command I gave you?'
5 Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, 'Please, first seek an answer from the LORD today.'
6 Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets, about four hundred men, and asked them, 'Should I go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or not?' They said, 'Go up, and the Lord will give it into the king’s hands.'
18 As for the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the LORD, you shall say to him: ‘Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: Regarding the words you have heard,
22 So now the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouths of these prophets of yours. The LORD has decreed disaster for you.
23 Then Zedekiah son of Kenaanah went up and slapped Micaiah in the face. 'Which way did the Spirit of the LORD go when he left me to speak to you?' he asked.
24 Micaiah replied, 'You will find out on the day you go to hide in an inner room.'
25 The king of Israel then ordered, 'Take Micaiah and send him back to Amon, the ruler of the city, and to Joash, the king's son.'
26 And say, "This is what the king says: Put this man in prison and give him nothing but bread and water until I return safely."
27 Micaiah declared, 'If you ever return safely, the LORD has not spoken through me.' Then he added, 'Mark my words, all you people!'
28 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah went up to Ramoth Gilead.
18 Then the king said to the woman, "Do not hide anything I ask you." The woman said, "Let my lord the king speak."
8 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, 'There is still one man through whom we can inquire of the LORD, but I hate him because he never prophesies anything good about me, only bad. His name is Micaiah son of Imlah.' Jehoshaphat replied, 'The king should not say such a thing.'
9 So the king of Israel called an officer and said, 'Quickly bring Micaiah son of Imlah.'
7 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, 'There is still one man we can inquire of the LORD through, but I hate him because he never prophesies anything good about me, only bad. His name is Micaiah son of Imlah.' Jehoshaphat said, 'The king should not say such things.'
8 So the king of Israel called one of his officials and said, 'Quickly bring Micaiah son of Imlah.'
26 But to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the LORD, this is what you shall say to him: 'This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says concerning the words you heard:
9 But Obadiah said, "What have I done wrong that you are handing your servant over to Ahab to be killed?"
10 "As surely as the LORD your God lives," he continued, "there is no nation or kingdom where my master has not sent someone to look for you. And whenever they said, 'He is not here,' he made the kingdom or nation swear that they could not find you.
11 Now you tell me, 'Go and say to your master, Elijah is here!'
12 They said, 'That's not true! Tell us!' So he said, 'This is what he said to me: “This is what the LORD says: I anoint you king over Israel.”'
10 The king replied, "If anyone says anything to you, bring them to me, and they will not bother you again."
1 This is what the LORD says: Go down to the house of the king of Judah and deliver this message there.
23 Then King Solomon took an oath by the LORD: 'May God punish me ever so severely if Adonijah has not made this request at the cost of his own life!
2 I advise you to obey the king's command and stay true to your oath made before God.
12 Then the woman said, "Please let your servant speak a word to my lord the king." He said, "Speak."
37 This is what you are to say to the prophet: 'What has the LORD answered you?' and 'What has the LORD spoken?'
30 I will carry out today what I swore to you by the LORD, the God of Israel, saying: 'Your son Solomon will reign after me, and he will sit on my throne in my place.'
