24 Therefore, Daniel went to Arioch, whom the king had appointed to destroy the wise men of Babylon. He went and said to him, "Do not destroy the wise men of Babylon; bring me before the king, and I will reveal the interpretation to the king."
25 Then Arioch hurriedly brought Daniel before the king and said to him, "I have found a man from among the exiles of Judah who will reveal the interpretation to the king."

29 As for you, O king, your thoughts came into your mind while on your bed about what would happen in the future, and He who reveals mysteries has made known to you what is to come.
30 But as for me, this mystery has not been revealed to me because of any wisdom that I have more than anyone else, but so that the interpretation may be made known to the king and that you may understand the thoughts of your heart.
9 If you do not make the dream known to me, there is only one decree for you. You have agreed to speak false and corrupt words before me until the situation changes. Therefore, tell me the dream, so that I may know that you can reveal its interpretation."
10 The Chaldeans answered the king, saying, "There is no man on earth who can declare the king's matter. No great and powerful king has ever asked such a thing from any magician, enchanter, or Chaldean.
11 What the king is asking is too difficult, and no one can reveal it to the king except the gods, whose dwelling is not with mortals."
12 Because of this, the king became angry and extremely furious, and he commanded that all the wise men of Babylon be destroyed.
10 The queen, hearing the words of the king and his nobles, entered the banquet hall. She said, 'May the king live forever! Don’t let your thoughts terrify you, and don’t let your face be pale.'

5 At that very moment, the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall near the lampstand in the royal palace. The king watched the hand as it wrote.
14 Then Daniel responded with wisdom and discretion to Arioch, the captain of the king's guard, who had gone out to carry out the execution of the wise men of Babylon.
11 Daniel said to the steward whom the chief of the officials had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,
