12The man said, 'The woman you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate.'
13Then the LORD God said to the woman, 'What is this you have done?' The woman said, 'The serpent deceived me, and I ate.'
14So the LORD God said to the serpent, 'Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals. You will crawl on your belly and eat dust all the days of your life.'
1Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, 'Did God really say, you shall not eat from any tree in the garden?'
2The woman said to the serpent, 'We may eat the fruit of the trees in the garden.'
3'But of the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God said, 'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.''
11'Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.'
12'When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.'
16So Cain went out from the LORD’s presence and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

11Then God said, 'Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their kinds, on the earth.' And it was so.
14'Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.'
8So the LORD scattered them from there over the face of the whole earth, and they stopped building the city.
29Then God said, 'Behold, I have given you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that bears fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
19Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground every beast of the field and every bird of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them. Whatever the man called each living creature, that became its name.
