4“Come up to me and help me; let us attack Gibeon, for it has made peace with Joshua and the people of Israel.”
5Then the five kings of the Amorites—the kings of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish, and Eglon—joined forces, and they and their armies moved out, camped near Gibeon, and prepared to attack it.
6The men of Gibeon sent a message to Joshua at the camp in Gilgal: “Do not abandon your servants. Come up to us quickly and save us! Help us, for all the kings of the Amorites living in the hill country have gathered against us.”
33Then Horam king of Gezer came up to help Lachish, but Joshua defeated him and his people, leaving no survivors.
