    9 After marching all night from Gilgal, Joshua took them by surprise.

    10 And the LORD threw them into panic before Israel, and Joshua and his forces inflicted a great defeat on them at Gibeon. They pursued them along the road to the Beth-horon ascent and struck them down as far as Azekah and Makkedah.
