18 Joshua waged war against all these kings for a long time.
1 Now when Adoni-Zedek, king of Jerusalem, heard how Joshua had captured Ai and devoted it to destruction—doing to Ai and its king as he had done to Jericho and its king—and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel and were living among them,
2 he and his people were very afraid because Gibeon was a great city, like one of the royal cities, even greater than Ai, and all its men were mighty warriors.
3 So Adoni-Zedek, king of Jerusalem, sent word to Hoham, king of Hebron, to Piram, king of Jarmuth, to Japhia, king of Lachish, and to Debir, king of Eglon, saying,
4 “Come up to me and help me; let us attack Gibeon, for it has made peace with Joshua and the people of Israel.”
5 Then the five kings of the Amorites—the kings of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish, and Eglon—joined forces, and they and their armies moved out, camped near Gibeon, and prepared to attack it.

12 Joshua captured all the cities of these kings and their kings as well. He struck them down with the sword and completely destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded.

14 The Israelites took all the plunder and livestock of these cities for themselves, but they killed all the people with the sword, completely destroying them and leaving no survivors.
20 So Joshua and the Israelites completely defeated them with a great slaughter, almost wiping them out. But a few survivors managed to retreat to their fortified cities.
21 Then the entire army returned safely to Joshua at the camp in Makkedah, and no one dared to criticize the people of Israel.
7 So Joshua and all his warriors came against them suddenly at the waters of Merom and attacked them.
8 The LORD gave them into the hand of Israel, who struck them down and pursued them as far as Greater Sidon, Misrephoth Maim, and the valley of Mizpeh to the east. They struck them down until no survivors remained.
39 They captured it, its king, and all its villages. They struck them with the edge of the sword and completely destroyed everyone in it, leaving no survivors. They did to Debir and its king as they had done to Hebron, to Libnah, and its king.
40 So Joshua conquered the whole country—the hill country, the Negev, the lowland, and the slopes—along with all their kings. He left no survivors but devoted every living thing to destruction, just as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded.
41 Joshua struck them from Kadesh-barnea to Gaza, and the entire region of Goshen as far as Gibeon.
42 Joshua captured all these kings and their lands at one time because the LORD, the God of Israel, fought for Israel.
20 For it was the LORD's purpose to harden their hearts to engage in battle with Israel, so that they would be utterly destroyed, receiving no mercy, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
21 At that time Joshua came and destroyed the Anakim from the hill country, from Hebron, Debir, Anab, all the hill country of Judah, and all the hill country of Israel. Joshua devoted them and their cities to destruction.
22 No Anakim were left in the land of the Israelites. Only in Gaza, Gath, and Ashdod did any remain.
23 So Joshua took the entire land, just as the LORD had promised to Moses, and gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their tribal divisions. And the land had rest from war.
30 The LORD gave Libnah into Israel's hands, along with its king. Joshua put the city and everyone in it to the sword, leaving no survivors. He treated its king as he had treated the king of Jericho.
22 The others came out from the city to meet them, so the men of Ai were surrounded by the Israelites, some on one side and some on the other. They struck them down until no survivors or fugitives were left.

15 Then Joshua made a peace treaty with them to let them live, and the leaders of the assembly swore an oath to them.
16 After three days, once they had made a treaty with them, the Israelites learned that these people were actually their neighbors, living among them.
26 Joshua did not draw back the hand with which he had stretched out the javelin until he had completely destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.
27 Only the livestock and the spoil of that city Israel took for themselves, according to the word of the Lord that He commanded Joshua.
10 Joshua said, 'By this you will know that the living God is among you and that He will surely drive out before you the Canaanites, Hittites, Hivites, Perizzites, Girgashites, Amorites, and Jebusites.'

17 Not a man remained in Ai or Bethel who did not go out after Israel. They left the city unguarded and pursued Israel.
5 All these kings joined forces and came together to camp at the waters of Merom to fight against Israel.
18 But the Israelites did not attack them because the leaders of the assembly had sworn an oath to them by the LORD, the God of Israel. And the whole assembly grumbled against the leaders.

8 It included the hill country, the lowlands, the Arabah, the slopes, the wilderness, and the Negev—the land of the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.
