8Moses also said to Korah, "Listen now, you sons of Levi!
6I myself have chosen your brothers, the Levites, from among the Israelites as a gift to you, dedicated to the LORD for their service at the tent of meeting.
7But you and your sons with you are to diligently guard your priestly duties for every aspect of the altar and the area behind the curtain. I have given your priesthood to you as a service of gift. Any unauthorized person who approaches shall be put to death.
6Bring the tribe of Levi near and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may assist him.
7They shall be responsible for his duties and the duties of the entire congregation before the tent of meeting, to perform the service of the tabernacle.
16Moses said to Korah, "You and all your followers are to appear before the Lord tomorrow—you, they, and Aaron.
17Each man is to take his censer, put incense in it, and present it before the Lord—250 censers in all. You and Aaron are also to do the same, each with his censer.
18So each of them took his censer, put fire and incense in it, and stood with Moses and Aaron at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
19When Korah had assembled the entire community against them at the entrance to the tent of meeting, the glory of the Lord appeared to the whole assembly.
20The Lord said to Moses and Aaron,
21"Separate yourselves from this assembly so I can put an end to them at once."
9Have you not driven out the priests of the LORD, the descendants of Aaron, and the Levites, and appointed your own priests like the peoples of other lands? Whoever comes with a young bull and seven rams can become a priest of what are not gods.
10But as for us, the LORD is our God, and we have not forsaken Him. The priests who serve the LORD are the descendants of Aaron, and the Levites carry out their responsibilities.
11My sons, do not be negligent now, for the LORD has chosen you to stand in His presence, to serve Him, and to minister to Him, and to burn incense.
2Bring your brothers from the tribe of Levi, your ancestral tribe, to join you and assist you while you and your sons serve before the tent of the testimony.
9Bring the Levites to the front of the tent of meeting and assemble the entire Israelite community.
26He warned the assembly, "Move away from the tents of these wicked men! Do not touch anything that belongs to them, or you will be swept away because of all their sins."
3They gathered against Moses and Aaron and said to them, "You have taken too much upon yourselves! The whole community is holy, each one of them, and the Lord is among them. Why then do you set yourselves above the assembly of the Lord?"
8At that time, the LORD set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister to Him, and to pronounce blessings in His name, as they do to this day.
7then he may minister in the name of the LORD his God like all his fellow Levites who serve there before the LORD.
5So they brought what Moses commanded to the front of the Tent of Meeting. Then the entire assembly came near and stood before the LORD.
6Moses said, 'This is what the LORD has commanded you to do so that the glory of the LORD will appear to you.'
17The LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,
18Do not let the tribe of the Kohathite clans be cut off from the Levites.
19Do this for them so that they may live and not die when they approach the most holy things. Aaron and his sons shall go in and assign each man his task and what he is to carry.
50Instead, appoint the Levites to be in charge of the tabernacle of the covenant, all its furnishings, and everything that belongs to it. They are to carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings, serve it, and camp around it.
14In this way, you are to set the Levites apart from the Israelites, and the Levites will be mine.
15After this, the Levites may go in to serve at the tent of meeting. You shall purify them and present them as a wave offering.
6You will be for Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.
12He said to them, "You are the heads of the Levitical families. Consecrate yourselves, you and your relatives, so that you may bring up the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel, to the place I prepared for it.
28Did I not choose them from all the tribes of Israel to be My priests, to go up to My altar, to burn incense, and to wear an ephod in My presence? And I gave to your forefather’s family all the offerings made by fire from the Israelites.
11The LORD spoke to Moses, saying:
18And now you are turning away from the LORD today! If you rebel against the LORD today, tomorrow He will be angry with the entire assembly of Israel.
23Then the Lord said to Moses,
5“Accept these from them so that they may be used for the work of the Tent of Meeting. Assign them to the Levites according to their roles of service.”
11Aaron is to present the Levites before the LORD as a wave offering from the Israelites so that they may perform the service of the LORD.
19I have given the Levites as gifts to Aaron and his sons from among the Israelites to do the work of the Israelites in the tent of meeting and to make atonement for them, so that no plague will come upon the Israelites when they approach the sanctuary.

22Afterwards, the Levites came to perform their duties in the tent of meeting under the supervision of Aaron and his sons. They did as the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites.
13Isn't it enough that you brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey to kill us in the wilderness? Must you also lord it over us?
5For the LORD your God has chosen him and his sons out of all your tribes to stand and minister in the name of the LORD forever.
32In this way they fulfilled their duty to care for the Tent of Meeting, the holy place, and their brothers, the descendants of Aaron, for the service of the house of the Lord.
20Transfer some of your authority to him so that the whole assembly of the Israelites will follow him.
16'This is what the entire assembly of the LORD says: What is this unfaithful act you have committed against the God of Israel by turning away from following the LORD today and building for yourselves an altar, rebelling against the LORD now?
