Then the nations will know that I am the LORD, declares the Lord GOD, when I prove myself holy through you in their sight. 24 I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the lands, and I will bring you back into your own land. 25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to follow my statutes and carefully observe my ordinances. 28 You will dwell in the land I gave to your ancestors; you will be my people, and I will be your God. 29 I will save you from all your uncleannesses. I will summon the grain and make it plentiful, and I will not bring famine upon you. 30 I will increase the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field so that you will no longer endure the reproach of famine among the nations. 31 You will remember your evil ways and your wicked deeds, and you will loathe yourselves for your sins and detestable practices. 32 I am not doing this for your sake, declares the Lord GOD. Be ashamed and humiliated for your conduct, O house of Israel! 33 This is what the Lord GOD says: On the day I cleanse you from all your sins, I will resettle your towns, and the ruins will be rebuilt. 34 The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of everyone who passes by. 35 They will say, 'This land that was desolate has become like the Garden of Eden, and the ruined, desolate, and demolished cities are now fortified and inhabited.' 36 Then the nations that remain around you will know that I, the LORD, have rebuilt what was demolished and replanted what was desolate. I, the LORD, have spoken, and I will do it. 37 This is what the Lord GOD says: I will allow the house of Israel to ask me to do this for them: I will increase their people like a flock. 38 Like the flocks of sacrifices, like the flocks in Jerusalem during its appointed festivals, so the ruined cities will be filled with flocks of people. Then they will know that I am the LORD.

The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass. 22 I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. 24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory and honor into it. 25 Its gates will never be shut by day, and there will be no night there. 26 They will bring the glory and honor of the nations into it. 27 Nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Then you will know that I am the Lord; those who hope in Me will not be disappointed. 24 Can plunder be taken from the mighty, or can captives of a righteous man be freed? 25 But this is what the Lord says: 'Yes, the captives of the mighty will be taken, and the prey of the ruthless will be rescued. I will contend with those who oppose you, and I will save your children.' 26 I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh, and they will be drunk on their own blood as with new wine. Then all mankind will know that I, the Lord, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

I will make your overseers peace and your rulers righteousness. 18 Violence will no longer be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders. You will name your walls Salvation and your gates Praise. 19 The sun will no longer be your light by day, nor the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. 20 Your sun will no longer set, and your moon will not wane; for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of mourning will come to an end. 21 Your people will all be righteous; they will inherit the land forever— the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, for my glory. 22 The least of you will become a thousand, and the smallest one a mighty nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.

You will eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory you will boast. 7 Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of humiliation they will rejoice in their inheritance. Therefore, in their land, they will receive a double portion, and everlasting joy will be theirs. 8 For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing. In truth, I will faithfully reward them and make an everlasting covenant with them. 9 Their offspring will be known among the nations, and their descendants among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the Lord has blessed. 10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul will be joyful in my God, for He has clothed me with garments of salvation and covered me with a robe of righteousness, like a bridegroom adorned with a headdress, and like a bride adorned with her jewels. 11 For as the earth brings forth its growth, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to sprout, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring up in the sight of all the nations. 1 For Zion’s sake I will not be silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep still, until her righteousness shines like the dawn, and her salvation like a blazing torch. 2 The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings will see your glory. You will be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will designate. 3 You will be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the palm of your God. 4 You will no longer be called 'Abandoned,' and your land will no longer be called 'Desolate;' instead, you will be called 'My Delight is in Her,' and your land 'Married.' For the LORD delights in you, and your land will be married. 5 For as a young man marries a virgin, so your sons will marry you; and as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so your God will rejoice over you. 6 Upon your walls, Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; all day and all night they will not be silent. You who remind the LORD, take no rest, 7 and give Him no rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth. 8 The LORD has sworn by His right hand and by His mighty arm: 'I will no longer give your grain as food for your enemies, nor will foreigners drink your new wine for which you have labored.' 9 But those who harvest it will eat it and praise the LORD, and those who gather it will drink it in the courts of My sanctuary. 10 Pass through, pass through the gates! Clear the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway; remove the stones. Raise a banner for the nations! 11 Behold, the LORD has proclaimed to the ends of the earth: 'Say to the daughter of Zion, “Behold, your salvation is coming! Behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense goes before Him.”' 12 And they will be called 'The Holy People,' 'The Redeemed of the LORD;' and you will be called 'Sought After,' 'A City Not Forsaken.'

I will take you—one from a city and two from a family—and bring you to Zion. 15 Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding. 16 And when you have multiplied and increased in the land in those days,' declares the LORD, 'people will no longer say, “The ark of the covenant of the LORD.” It will not come to mind or be remembered, nor will it be missed or made again. 17 At that time they will call Jerusalem the Throne of the LORD, and all the nations will gather in Jerusalem to honor the name of the LORD. They will no longer follow the stubbornness of their evil hearts.

• Ezek 40:1-9 : 1 In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was struck, on that very day, the hand of the LORD was upon me, and He brought me there. 2 In visions of God, He brought me to the land of Israel and set me down on a very high mountain, on which was something like the form of a city facing toward the south. 3 He brought me there, and behold, there was a man whose appearance was like bronze, with a line of flax in his hand and a measuring rod, and he was standing in the gateway. 4 The man said to me, 'Son of man, look with your eyes, hear with your ears, and pay attention to everything I am going to show you, for this is why you have been brought here. Declare everything you see to the house of Israel.' 5 Behold, a wall surrounded the temple area. The measuring rod in the man’s hand was six long cubits, each cubit being a cubit and a handbreadth. He measured the width of the structure as one rod and its height as one rod. 6 Then he went to the gateway that faced east, climbed its steps, and measured the threshold of the gate as one rod wide. 7 Each guardroom was one rod long and one rod wide, and the space between the guardrooms was five cubits. The threshold of the gateway at the porch of the gate, located toward the inside, was also one rod. 8 He measured the porch of the gateway, which faced the interior, as one rod. 9 He measured the porch of the gate as eight cubits, and its pilasters as two cubits. The porch of the gate faced inward. 10 There were three guardrooms on either side of the east-facing gateway, all of them were of equal dimension. The pilasters on either side also measured the same. 11 He measured the width of the gate opening as ten cubits and the length of the gateway as thirteen cubits. 12 There was a border of one cubit in front of the guardrooms on either side, and each guardroom was six cubits square on both sides. 13 He measured the gateway from the roof of one guardroom to the roof of the opposite one; the width was twenty-five cubits. Doorway faced doorway. 14 He made the pilasters sixty cubits high, and the court was surrounded by the gate. 15 And the entire length of the gateway, from the front of the entrance to the inner porch of the gate, was fifty cubits. 16 The gateway had windows with beveled frames facing inward toward the guardrooms and to their posts on all sides. The same applied to the porches. Around the gateway, windows were also built, and representations of palm trees decorated its posts. 17 Then he brought me to the outer courtyard, where there were chambers and a paved surface created all around the courtyard. Thirty chambers faced the pavement. 18 The pavement ran alongside the gates, corresponding to the length of the gates; this was the lower pavement. 19 Then he measured the distance from the front of the lower gateway to the front of the inner courtyard's gate; it was one hundred cubits eastward and northward. 20 He measured a gate that faced north, belonging to the outer courtyard. Its length and width were measured. 21 Its guardrooms—three on each side—its posts and its porches had the same dimensions as the first gate, fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide. 22 Its windows, its porches, and its palm tree decorations were designed similarly to the gate facing east. Seven steps led up to it, and its porches were in front of them. 23 There was a gate to the inner courtyard opposite the northern and the eastern gates, and he measured the distance—one hundred cubits from gate to gate. 24 Then he led me southward, where I saw a gate facing south. He measured its posts and its porches, and their dimensions matched those of the others. 25 The gate and its porches had windows all around, like the other windows—fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide. 26 Its staircase had seven steps, leading up to it, and its porches were in front of them. It also had palm tree decorations, one on each side of its posts. 27 A gate to the inner courtyard facing south was opposite this gate. He measured from gate to gate, and it was one hundred cubits. 28 Then he brought me through the south gate into the inner courtyard, where he measured this gate, and it had the same dimensions as the others. 29 Its guardrooms, posts, and porches had the same measurements as the others. The gate and its porches had windows all around, fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide. 30 The porches stretched all around, with a length of twenty-five cubits and a width of five cubits. 31 Its porch faced the outer courtyard, and palm tree decorations adorned its posts. Eight steps led up to it. 32 Then he brought me to the inner courtyard, facing east, measured the gate, and its dimensions were the same as the others. 33 Its guardrooms, posts, and porches had the same measurements as the others. Windows were all around the gate and its porches. The total length was fifty cubits, and the width was twenty-five cubits. 34 Its porch faced the outer courtyard. Palm tree decorations were on its posts, one on each side. Eight steps led up to it. 35 He brought me to the north gate and measured it. Its dimensions were the same as the others. 36 Its guardrooms, posts, and porches matched the measurements of the others. Windows were all around. The length of the gate was fifty cubits, and the width was twenty-five cubits. 37 Its porch faced the outer courtyard, with palm tree decorations on its posts, one on each side. Eight steps led up to it. 38 There was a chamber with its entrance by the gateposts, where the burnt offerings were washed. 39 Inside the porch of the gate were two tables on each side, to slaughter the burnt offerings, sin offerings, and guilt offerings. 40 On the outer side of the north gate, at its entrance, were two tables, and on the other side of the porch, there were two more tables. 41 Four tables were on one side and four on the other, beside the gate. There were eight tables in total, where the sacrifices were slaughtered. 42 Additionally, there were four tables of hewn stone for the burnt offerings, one and a half cubits long, one and a half cubits wide, and one cubit high. On these, the tools for slaughtering the burnt offerings and sacrifices were placed. 43 Hooks, a handbreadth in length, were fixed all around the inside. The tables were used for placing the meat of the sacrifices. 44 Outside the inner gate, in the inner courtyard, were chambers for the singers, by the side of the north gate facing south, and one by the side of the east gate facing north. 45 Then he said to me, 'This chamber, which faces south, is for the priests who keep charge of the temple.' 46 And the chamber that faces north is for the priests who keep charge of the altar. These are the sons of Zadok, who are from the descendants of Levi and are allowed to come near to the LORD to minister to Him. 47 He measured the courtyard as one hundred cubits long and one hundred cubits wide, forming a square. The altar was in front of the temple. 48 Then he brought me to the porch of the temple and measured the pilasters of the porch; they were five cubits on one side and five cubits on the other. The width of the entrance was three cubits on each side. 49 The length of the porch was twenty cubits, and its width was eleven cubits. On the steps leading up to it were columns, one on each side, at the entrance.

In its center shall be the sanctuary of the Lord. 11 It shall be for the consecrated priests of the sons of Zadok, who kept charge of My sanctuary and did not go astray when the Israelites and the Levites did. 12 Their portion shall be the special offering given from the land, a most holy portion, next to the territory of the Levites. 13 The Levites shall have a portion parallel to the territory of the priests, measuring 25,000 cubits long and 10,000 cubits wide. Its total length shall be 25,000 cubits, and its width shall be 10,000 cubits. 14 This land must not be sold, exchanged, or transferred, for it is holy to the Lord; it is set apart as the firstfruits of the land. 15 The remaining area, which is 5,000 cubits in width and 25,000 cubits long, shall be considered common land for the city, for dwelling places, and for open spaces. The city itself shall be in the midst of it. 16 These are its measurements: the northern side shall be 4,500 cubits wide, the southern side 4,500 cubits, the eastern side 4,500 cubits, and the western side 4,500 cubits. 17 The city's open land shall measure 250 cubits to the north, 250 cubits to the south, 250 cubits to the east, and 250 cubits to the west. 18 The remaining area, running along the length of the holy contribution, is 10,000 cubits to the east and 10,000 cubits to the west. Its produce will supply food for the workers of the city. 19 The workers of the city, recruited from all the tribes of Israel, shall cultivate it. 20 The entire contribution shall measure 25,000 cubits by 25,000 cubits, forming a square, and this will include the holy portion and the city’s property. 21 The remaining land on both sides of the holy contribution and the city property will belong to the prince. It will extend eastward to the border and westward to the border, equal to the portions of the tribes. The holy contribution and the sanctuary of the temple will be in its midst. 22 The property of the Levites and the city’s property, located in the midst of the prince’s land, shall be between the boundary of Judah and the boundary of Benjamin. This area shall belong to the prince. 23 As for the rest of the tribes: Benjamin shall have one portion, extending from the eastern boundary to the western boundary. 24 Next to the territory of Benjamin, from the eastern boundary to the western boundary: Simeon, one portion. 25 Next to the territory of Simeon, from the eastern boundary to the western boundary: Issachar, one portion. 26 Next to the territory of Issachar, from the eastern boundary to the western boundary: Zebulun, one portion. 27 Next to the territory of Zebulun, from the eastern boundary to the western boundary: Gad, one portion. 28 Next to the territory of Gad, toward the southern boundary, shall be the area from Tamar to the waters of Meribah at Kadesh, along the Brook of Egypt to the Great Sea. 29 This is the land you shall divide as an inheritance for the tribes of Israel, and these shall be their portions, declares the Lord GOD. 30 These are the exits of the city: on the north side, which measures 4,500 cubits, 31 three gates will be there, named after the tribes of Israel: the Gate of Reuben, the Gate of Judah, and the Gate of Levi, one gate for each. 32 On the east side, which measures 4,500 cubits, there will be three gates as well: the Gate of Joseph, the Gate of Benjamin, and the Gate of Dan, one gate for each. 33 On the south side, which measures 4,500 cubits, there will be three gates: the Gate of Simeon, the Gate of Issachar, and the Gate of Zebulun, one gate for each. 34 On the west side, which measures 4,500 cubits, there will be three gates: the Gate of Gad, the Gate of Asher, and the Gate of Naphtali, one gate for each. 35 The perimeter of the city shall be 18,000 cubits, and the name of the city from that day shall be: The LORD Is There.
