1Heare the worde of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controuersie with the inhabitants of the lande, because there is no trueth nor mercie nor knowledge of God in the lande.

13Therefore my people is gone into captiuitie, because they had no knowledge, and the glorie thereof are men famished, and the multitude thereof is dried vp with thirst.
7Euen the storke in the aire knoweth her appointed times, and the turtle and the crane and the swallowe obserue the time of their comming, but my people knoweth not the iudgement of the Lorde.

5Thy calfe, O Samaria, hath cast thee off: mine anger is kindled against them: howe long will they be without innocencie!
6For it came euen from Israel: the workeman made it, therefore it is not God: but the calfe of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.

4Doe not all the workers of iniquitie know that they eate vp my people, as they eate bread? They call not vpon the Lord.
7And my people are bent to rebellion against me: though they called them to the most hie, yet none at all would exalt him.
12But they knowe not the thoughtes of the Lord: they vnderstand not his counsell, for he shall gather them as the sheaues in the barne.
6An vnwise man knoweth it not, and a foole doeth not vnderstand this,
6They shall goe with their sheepe, and with their bullockes to seeke the Lorde: but they shall not finde him: for he hath withdrawne himselfe from them.

1Woe vnto them that goe downe into Egypt for helpe, and stay vpon horses, and trust in charets, because they are many, and in horsemen, because they be very strong: but they looke not vnto the holy one of Israel, nor seeke vnto the Lord.
14Feed thy people with thy rod, the flocke of thine heritage (which dwell solitarie in the wood) as in the middes of Carmel: let them feede in Bashan and Gilead, as in olde time.
18Heare therefore, yee Gentiles, and thou Congregation knowe, what is among them.
6As in their pastures, so were they filled: they were filled, and their heart was exalted: therefore haue they forgotten me.
10And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face, and they doe not returne to the Lorde their God, nor seeke him for all this.

6Doe ye so rewarde the Lorde, O foolish people and vnwise? is not he thy father, that hath bought thee? he hath made thee, and proportioned thee.

18And the Lorde hath taught me, and I knowe it, euen then thou shewedst mee their practises.
18How did the beasts mourne! the herdes of cattel pine away, because they haue no pasture, & the flockes of sheepe are destroyed.
1(14:2) O Israel, returne vnto the Lord thy God: for thou hast fallen by thine iniquitie.
10Thus saith the Lord vnto this people, Thus haue they delited to wander: they haue not refrained their feete, therefore the Lorde hath no delight in them: but he will now remember their iniquitie, and visite their sinnes.
4Thus sayeth the Lorde my God, Feede the sheepe of the slaughter.
19But I demaund, Did not Israel knowe God? First Moses sayth, I will prouoke you to enuie by a nation that is not my nation, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
