35I the Lord haue said, Certainely I will doe so to all this wicked company, that are gathered together against me: for in this wildernesse they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.
20But a whole moneth, vntill it come out at your nostrels, and bee lothesome vnto you, because ye haue contemned the Lorde, which is among you, and haue wept before him, saying, Why came we hither out of Egypt?
21And Moses saide, Six hundreth thousande footemen are there of the people, among whom I am: and thou saiest, I will giue them flesh, that they may eate a moneth long.
9Where your fathers tempted me, prooued me, and sawe my workes fourtie yeeres long.
2And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron: and the whole assemblie said vnto them, Would God we had died in the land of Egypt, or in this wildernesse: would God we were dead.
11(For the Lorde had spoken vnto Moses, saying,
24Also they contemned that pleasant land, and beleeued not his worde,

16And the Lorde said vnto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleepe with thy fathers, and this people will rise vp, and goe a whoring after the gods of a strange land (whither they goe to dwell therein) and will forsake me, and breake my couenant which I haue made with them.
18Moreouer, when they made them a molten calfe (and said, This is thy God that brought thee vp out of the land of Egypt) and committed great blasphemies,
39Then Moses tolde these sayings vnto all the children of Israel, and the people sorowed greatly.
22Also in Taberah, & in Massah and in Kibrothhattaauah ye prouoked ye Lord to anger.
16Because the Lord was not able to bring this people into the lande, which he sware vnto them, therefore hath he slaine them in the wildernesse.
27And murmured in your tentes, & sayd, Because the Lorde hated vs, therefore hath hee brought vs out of the land of Egypt, to deliuer vs into the hand of the Amorites, and to destroy vs.
10And the Lordes wrath was kindled the same day, and he did sweare, saying,
10Fourtie yeeres haue I contended with this generation, and said, They are a people that erre in heart, for they haue not knowen my wayes.
9So Moses told the children of Israel thus: but they hearkened not vnto Moses, for anguish of spirit and for cruel bondage.
5And the people spake against God and against Moses, saying, Wherefore haue ye brought vs out of Egypt, to die in the wildernesse? for here is neither bread nor water, & our soule lotheth this light bread.
44And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
13Furthermore, the Lord spake vnto me, saying, I haue seene this people, and beholde, it is a stifnecked people.
10After, the Lord said vnto Moses, Bring Aarons rod againe before the Testimonie to bee kept for a token to the rebellious children, and thou shalt cause their murmurings to cease from me, that they dye not.

36Hee brought them out, doing wonders, and miracles in the land of Egypt, and in the red sea, and in the wildernes fourtie yeeres.
