5And David went out wherever Saul sent him, and behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul's servants.
57When David returned from killing the Philistine, Abner took him and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand.

26And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too fierce for him, he took with him seven hundred men who drew swords to break through to the king of Edom; but they could not.
30So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. And the land had rest eighty years.
15For it came to pass, when David was in Edom, and Joab the captain of the army had gone up to bury the slain, after he had killed every male in Edom.
