13Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
15But I have used none of these things, nor have I written these things that it should be done so to me; for it would be better for me to die than that anyone should make my boasting void.
58Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
31I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
32If, in the manner of men, I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage is it to me, if the dead do not rise? 'Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.'
30Having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear to be in me.
8For bodily exercise profits little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
14Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to argue about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers.
15Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
9Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
24But none of these things move me, nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
6And these things, brothers, I have applied to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, so that none of you be puffed up for one against another.
13Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
8Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we have worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.
9And let us not grow weary in doing good: for in due season we shall reap, if we do not faint.
5For I consider that I am not in any way inferior to the very chief apostles.
17That which I speak, I speak not according to the Lord, but as if foolishly, in this confidence of boasting.
13I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
