5 And of all my sons, (for the LORD has given me many sons,) he has chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.
6 And he said to me, Solomon your son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.
7 Moreover I will establish his kingdom forever, if he remains steadfast to obey my commandments and my judgments, as at this day.

30 even as I swore to you by the LORD God of Israel, saying, Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my place; even so will I certainly do this day.
14 And the LORD stirred up an adversary to Solomon, Hadad the Edomite: he was of the royal lineage in Edom.
26 Then I will cast away the descendants of Jacob and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his descendants to be rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
11 And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused you to rest from all your enemies. Also the LORD tells you that he will make you a house.
12 And when your days are fulfilled, and you shall rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, which shall come out of your own body, and I will establish his kingdom.
13 He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
