26 Did not King Solomon of Israel sin by these things? Yet among many nations there was no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel; nevertheless, pagan women caused even him to sin.
27 Shall we then listen to you to do all this great evil, transgressing against our God by marrying pagan women?
11 And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David to the house he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the LORD has come.

1 And Israel stayed in Shittim, and the people began to commit immorality with the daughters of Moab.
2 Then Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.
2 And she came to Jerusalem with a very great entourage, with camels bearing spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she came to Solomon, she spoke with him of all that was in her heart.
9 And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and a willing mind: for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: if you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.
22 For if you diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways, and to hold fast to Him;
1 Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even those of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.
13 Then Solomon came from his journey to the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel.
25 Let not your heart incline to her ways, do not stray in her paths.
11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of your enemies, neither yet have asked long life; but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge my people, over whom I have made you king:
