30 But the rest fled to Aphek, into the city; and there a wall fell upon twenty-seven thousand of the men that were left. And Benhadad fled, and came into the city, into an inner chamber.
31 And his servants said to him, Behold now, we have heard that the kings of the house of Israel are merciful kings: let us, I pray you, put sackcloth on our loins, and ropes upon our heads, and go out to the king of Israel: perhaps he will save your life.
32 So they girded sackcloth on their loins, and put ropes on their heads, and came to the king of Israel, and said, Your servant Benhadad says, I pray you, let me live. And he said, Is he still alive? he is my brother.
33 Now the men diligently observed whether anything would come from him, and hastily caught it: and they said, Your brother Benhadad. Then he said, Go, bring him. Then Benhadad came forth to him; and he brought him up into the chariot.
34 And Benhadad said to him, The cities, which my father took from your father, I will restore; and you shall make streets for yourself in Damascus, as my father made in Samaria. Then said Ahab, I will send you away with this covenant. So he made a covenant with him, and sent him away.
35 And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his neighbor in the word of the LORD, Strike me, I pray you. And the man refused to strike him.
31 Then he said, God do so and more also to me, if the head of Elisha the son of Shaphat shall remain on him today.
11 And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell him, Let not the one who girds on his armor boast himself like the one who takes it off.
12 And it came to pass, when Benhadad heard this message, as he was drinking, he and the kings in the pavilions, that he said to his servants, Set yourselves in order. And they set themselves in array against the city.
13 And behold, there came a prophet to Ahab king of Israel, saying, Thus says the LORD, Have you seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into your hand this day; and you shall know that I am the LORD.
16 And they went out at noon. But Benhadad was drinking himself drunk in the pavilions, he and the kings, the thirty-two kings that helped him.
17 And the young men of the princes of the provinces went out first; and Benhadad sent out, and they told him, saying, There are men come out of Samaria.
18 And he said, Whether they come out for peace, take them alive; or whether they come out for war, take them alive.
19 So these young men of the princes of the provinces came out of the city, and the army which followed them.
20 And they slew every one his man: and the Syrians fled; and Israel pursued them: and Benhadad the king of Syria escaped on a horse with the horsemen.
21 And the king of Israel went out, and struck the horses and chariots, and slew the Syrians with a great slaughter.
25 And number an army like the army that you have lost, horse for horse, and chariot for chariot: and we will fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they. And he listened to their voice, and did so.
24 And it came to pass after this, that Benhadad king of Syria gathered all his army, and went up, and besieged Samaria.
23 And the servants of the king of Syria said to him, Their gods are gods of the hills; therefore they were stronger than we; but let us fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they.
9 So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels' load, and came and stood before him, and said, "Your son Benhadad king of Syria has sent me to you, saying, 'Shall I recover from this disease?'"
4 But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Benhadad.
20 So Benhadad listened to King Asa, and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel, and struck Ijon, Dan, Abel Beth Maachah, and all Cinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.
28 And there came a man of God, and spoke to the king of Israel, and said, Thus says the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore I will deliver all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the LORD.
18 Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and delivered them into the hand of his servants; and King Asa sent them to Benhadad, the son of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who dwelt at Damascus, saying,
7 And Elisha came to Damascus; and Benhadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, "The man of God is come here."

13 And Hazael said, "But what, is your servant a dog, that he should do this great thing?" And Elisha answered, "The LORD has shown me that you shall be king over Syria."
9 And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The LORD is able to give you much more than this.
30 Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of the chariots that were with him, saying, Fight not with small or great, except only with the king of Israel.
34 Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah? Have they delivered Samaria from my hand?
35 Who among all the gods of the lands have delivered their countries from my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem from my hand?
19 And when all the kings that were servants to Hadarezer saw that they were defeated before Israel, they made peace with Israel, and served them. So the Syrians feared to help the children of Ammon any more.
4 And Benhadad listened to King Asa, and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they struck down Ijon, Dan, Abelmaim, and all the store cities of Naphtali.
3 The anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Benhadad, the son of Hazael, all their days.
15 And the LORD said to him, Go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus, and when you arrive, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria.
17 And Naaman said, If not, please let there be given to your servant two mule-loads of earth; for your servant will no longer offer burnt offering or sacrifice to other gods, but to the LORD.
21 And the king of Israel said to Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I strike them? shall I strike them?
27 And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Ben-Hadad.
42 And he said to him, Thus says the LORD, Because you have let go out of your hand a man whom I appointed to utter destruction, therefore your life shall go for his life, and your people for his people.
