38 Whatever prayer and supplication is made by any man, or by all your people Israel, who shall each know the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:

12 And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night and said to him, I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.
26 And now, O God of Israel, let your word, I pray you, be verified, which you spoke to your servant David my father.
27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain you; how much less this house that I have built?
28 Yet have respect to the prayer of your servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to listen to the cry and to the prayer, which your servant prays before you today:
29 That your eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which you have said, My name shall be there: that you may listen to the prayer which your servant shall make toward this place.
30 And listen to the supplication of your servant, and of your people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear in heaven your dwelling place: and when you hear, forgive.
2 Then Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.
3 So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.
15 And Solomon awoke; and, behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem, and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and offered burnt offerings, and offered peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants.
6 Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build a house for the LORD God of Israel.
27 Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to His holy dwelling place, even unto heaven.
20 And David said to all the assembly, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the assembly blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshiped the LORD, and the king.
3 And the LORD said to him, I have heard your prayer and your supplication, that you have made before Me: I have hallowed this house, which you have built, to put My name there forever; and My eyes and My heart shall be there perpetually.
42 (For they shall hear of your great name, and of your strong hand, and of your outstretched arm;) when he shall come and pray toward this house;
19 Have respect therefore to the prayer of your servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to listen to the cry and the prayer which your servant prays before you:
2 Hear the voice of my supplications when I cry to you, when I lift up my hands toward your holy sanctuary.
47 Moreover, the king's servants came to bless our lord King David, saying, May God make the name of Solomon better than your name, and make his throne greater than your throne. And the king bowed himself upon the bed.
25 And the LORD magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.
1 Then David said, This is the house of the LORD God, and this is the altar of the burnt offering for Israel.
1 And it happened, when Solomon had finished building the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desires which he was pleased to do,
26 And David built there an altar to the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering.
11 And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying,
44 If your people go out to battle against their enemy, wherever you shall send them, and shall pray to the LORD toward the city which you have chosen, and toward the house that I have built for your name:
40 Now, my God, I beseech you, let your eyes be open, and let your ears be attentive to the prayer that is made in this place.
53 So King Solomon sent, and they brought him down from the altar. And he came and bowed himself to King Solomon; and Solomon said to him, Go to your house.
