31 And the children of Benjamin went out against the people, and were drawn away from the city; and they began to strike of the people, and kill, as at other times, in the highways, of which one goes up to the house of God, and the other to Gibeah in the field, about thirty men of Israel.
32 And the children of Benjamin said, They are struck down before us, as at the first. But the children of Israel said, Let us flee, and draw them from the city to the highways.
29 Of the sons of Benjamin, the relatives of Saul, three thousand; for until that time, the most of them had maintained their allegiance to the house of Saul.
11 When Saul and all Israel heard the words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid.
7 And he took a yoke of oxen, and cut them in pieces, and sent them throughout all the territories of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, "Whosoever does not come after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done to his oxen." And the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out with one consent.
