7And when all the men of Israel that were in the valley saw that they had fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, they forsook their cities and fled; and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.
8And it came to pass on the next day, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.
15Now the LORD had told Samuel in his ear a day before Saul came, saying,
16Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man out of the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him to be captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people from the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry has come to me.
4The Philistines assembled and camped in Shunem, and Saul gathered all Israel together, and they camped in Gilboa.
21And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he reported them in the ears of the LORD.
