20 And when Samuel had caused all the tribes of Israel to come near, the tribe of Benjamin was taken.
1 Now the Philistines gathered their armies for battle, and assembled at Socoh, which belongs to Judah, and camped between Socoh and Azekah, in Ephes-dammim.
10 And the LORD came and stood and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for your servant hears.
6 But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed to the LORD.
8 And Saul called all the people together to war, to go down to Keilah, to besiege David and his men.

4 And Samuel did what the LORD spoke, and came to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Do you come peaceably?
16 And he went from year to year in a circuit to Bethel, and Gilgal, and Mizpah, and judged Israel in all those places.
12 And when Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning, it was told Samuel, saying, Saul came to Carmel, and behold, he set up a place for himself, and has gone about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal.
15 And Samuel said to Saul, Why have you disturbed me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am in great distress; for the Philistines make war against me, and God has departed from me and does not answer me anymore, neither by prophets nor by dreams. Therefore I have called you, that you may make known to me what I shall do.
12 And the people said to Samuel, "Who is he that said, 'Shall Saul reign over us?' bring the men, that we may put them to death."
4 Then the messengers came to Gibeah of Saul and told the news in the ears of the people, and all the people lifted up their voices and wept.
5 And behold, Saul came after the herd out of the field, and Saul said, "What troubles the people, that they weep?" And they told him the news of the men of Jabesh.
