And Samuel said, What have you done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you did not come within the appointed days, and that the Philistines gathered at Michmash,

16 Then Samuel said, Why do you ask me, seeing the LORD has departed from you and has become your enemy?

11 It grieves Me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he has turned back from following Me, and has not performed My commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried to the LORD all night.

14 And Samuel said, What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?
37 Saul inquired of God, "Shall I go down after the Philistines? Will You deliver them into the hand of Israel?" But He did not answer him that day.
38 Saul said, "Come here, all you leaders of the people, and find out how this sin has happened today.

14 And they went up to the city: and when they came into the city, behold, Samuel came out towards them, to go up to the high place.

21 And the woman came to Saul, and saw that he was very troubled, and said to him, Behold, your maidservant has obeyed your voice, and I have put my life in my hand and have listened to your words which you spoke to me.
1 And Samuel said to all Israel, Behold, I have listened to your voice in all that you said to me, and have made a king over you.
18 Because you did not obey the voice of the LORD, nor execute his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore the LORD has done this thing to you today.
8 And it came to pass on the next day, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.
