14And they went up to the city: and when they came into the city, behold, Samuel came out towards them, to go up to the high place.

27And as Samuel turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it tore.

20And Saul said to Samuel, Yes, I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.
2Saul was staying in the outermost part of Gibeah under a pomegranate tree in Migron, and the people with him were about six hundred men;

15And Samuel said to Saul, Why have you disturbed me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am in great distress; for the Philistines make war against me, and God has departed from me and does not answer me anymore, neither by prophets nor by dreams. Therefore I have called you, that you may make known to me what I shall do.
10And it came to pass, as soon as he had finished offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might greet him.
11And Samuel said, What have you done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you did not come within the appointed days, and that the Philistines gathered at Michmash,
1And Samuel died; and all the Israelites gathered together, and mourned him, and buried him at his house in Ramah. And David arose and went down to the wilderness of Paran.
4Then the messengers came to Gibeah of Saul and told the news in the ears of the people, and all the people lifted up their voices and wept.
5And behold, Saul came after the herd out of the field, and Saul said, "What troubles the people, that they weep?" And they told him the news of the men of Jabesh.
29They have gone over the pass: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul has fled.
7And some of the Hebrews crossed over the Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he was still in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling.
8And he waited seven days, according to the time that Samuel had appointed; but Samuel did not come to Gilgal, and the people were scattered from him.
11When the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead heard of what the Philistines had done to Saul,
10Then Saul said to his servant, Well said; come, let us go. So they went unto the city where the man of God was.
2And Samuel said, How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take a heifer with you, and say, I have come to sacrifice to the LORD.
5And Saul came to a city of Amalek, and lay in wait in the valley.
11And when all Jabeshgilead heard all that the Philistines had done to Saul,
4And all Israel heard that Saul had struck a garrison of the Philistines, and that Israel was in abomination with the Philistines. And the people were called together to Saul at Gilgal.
