    11 And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, 'LORD, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many, or with those who have no power; help us, O LORD our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude. O LORD, You are our God; let not man prevail against You.'

    7 And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him, Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD your God, therefore the army of the king of Syria has escaped from your hand.

    8 Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a large army, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because you relied on the LORD, he delivered them into your hand.

    9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.

    10 Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in prison; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people at the same time.

    11 And behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, indeed, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

    9 And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon, for they joined him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.

    10 So they gathered together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.

    2 And Asa did what was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God.

    3 For he took away the altars of the foreign gods, and the high places, and broke down the images, and cut down the groves.

  • 24 For the army of the Syrians came with a small company of men, and the LORD delivered a very great army into their hand, because they had forsaken the LORD God of their fathers. So they executed judgment against Joash.

    12 He took away the sodomites from the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.

  • 19 And there was no more war until the thirty-fifth year of the reign of Asa.

  • 8 And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who struck them, and chased them to great Zidon, and to Misrephothmaim, and to the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they struck them, until they left none remaining.

  • 22 Then King Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah; none was exempted, and they took away the stones and timber of Ramah, which Baasha had used to build it. King Asa used them to build Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.
