There is a treaty between me and you, as there was between my father and your father: behold, I have sent you silver and gold; go, break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, so that he may depart from me.

1 Then the word of the LORD came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,
2 Since I exalted you out of the dust and made you ruler over my people Israel, yet you have walked in the way of Jeroboam and have made my people Israel to sin, provoking me to anger with their sins;
3 Behold, I will utterly sweep away Baasha and his house; I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
28 Baasha killed him in the third year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his place.
34 And Benhadad said to him, The cities, which my father took from your father, I will restore; and you shall make streets for yourself in Damascus, as my father made in Samaria. Then said Ahab, I will send you away with this covenant. So he made a covenant with him, and sent him away.
32 There was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.
33 In the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha the son of Ahijah began to reign over all Israel in Tirzah for twenty-four years.
18 And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.
19 And there was no more war until the thirty-fifth year of the reign of Asa.
5 And the messengers came again, and said, Thus speaks Benhadad, saying, Although I have sent to you, saying, You shall deliver me your silver, and your gold, and your wives, and your children;
6 Yet I will send my servants to you tomorrow about this time, and they shall search your house, and the houses of your servants; and it shall be, that whatever is pleasant in your eyes, they shall put in their hand, and take it away.
7 So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria, saying, I am your servant and your son; come up and save me from the hand of the king of Syria and from the hand of the king of Israel, who rise up against me.
8 And Ahaz took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the LORD and in the treasuries of the king's house and sent it as a gift to the king of Assyria.
2 And he went out to meet Asa, and said to him, Listen to me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while you are with Him; and if you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.
14 And Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria at Lachish, saying, I have done wrong; withdraw from me. Whatever you impose on me, I will bear. So the king of Assyria imposed upon Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.
15 Hezekiah gave him all the silver found in the house of the LORD and the treasuries of the king's house.
12 Elijah the prophet sent him a letter, saying, "This is what the LORD, the God of David your father, says: Because you have not followed the ways of Jehoshaphat your father or Asa king of Judah,
13 And Elisha said to the king of Israel, "What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father and to the prophets of your mother." And the king of Israel said to him, "No, for the LORD has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab."

18 Jehoash king of Judah took all the hallowed things that Jehoshaphat, Jehoram, and Ahaziah, his fathers, kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own hallowed things, and all the gold found in the treasures of the house of the LORD and the king's house, and sent them to Hazael king of Syria. Then he departed from Jerusalem.
9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.
11 And behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, indeed, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
22 Then King Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah; none was exempted, and they took away the stones and timber of Ramah, which Baasha had used to build it. King Asa used them to build Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.
5 And the king of Syria said, Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, six thousand gold pieces, and ten changes of clothing.
4 And he said to Jehoshaphat, Will you go with me to battle to Ramothgilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.
7 And he went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, "The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me against Moab to battle?" And he said, "I will go up; I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses."
18 But to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the LORD, thus shall you say to him, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, As for the words which you have heard;
12 And the LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as He promised, and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two made a covenant together.
7 Moreover by the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of the LORD against Baasha and his house, for all the evil that he did in the sight of the LORD in provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam, and also because he struck him down.
8 And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage and removed the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD.
9 And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon, for they joined him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.
12 And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the land? saying also, Make your league with me, and behold, my hand shall be with you, to bring about all Israel unto you.
26 And as for the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the LORD, so shall you say to him, Thus says the LORD God of Israel concerning the words which you have heard;
