Moreover, all the utensils which King Ahaz cast away during his reign in his transgression, we have prepared and sanctified, and behold, they are before the altar of the LORD.

    18He also removed the sabbath canopy they had built in the house, and the king's outer entry, from the house of the LORD for the king of Assyria.

    19Now the rest of the acts of Ahaz which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

    5And said to them, Hear me, Levites, sanctify yourselves now and sanctify the house of the LORD God of your fathers, and carry out the filthiness from the holy place.

    6For our fathers have trespassed, and done evil in the eyes of the LORD our God, and have forsaken Him, and turned away from the dwelling place of the LORD, and turned their backs.
