38And he said, My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he alone is left: if harm befalls him on the journey in which you go, then you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.

21And you said to your servants, Bring him down to me, that I may set my eyes upon him.

28And the king said to her, What troubles you? And she answered, This woman said to me, Give your son, that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow.
35And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down into the grave mourning my son. Thus his father wept for him.

33And the king was deeply moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept: and as he went, he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! If only I had died for you, O Absalom, my son, my son!
11And his head was brought on a platter and given to the young woman, and she brought it to her mother.
19Then shall his father and his mother take hold of him, and bring him out to the elders of his city and to the gate of his place;
