25And Saul said, Thus shall you say to David, The king desires no dowry, but a hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to be avenged of the king's enemies. But Saul thought to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.
4And the Gibeonites said to him, We will have no silver or gold from Saul or his house, neither shall you kill any man in Israel for us. And he said, Whatever you say, that will I do for you.
12And when Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning, it was told Samuel, saying, Saul came to Carmel, and behold, he set up a place for himself, and has gone about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal.
9And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you struck down in the Valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod: if you will take that, take it, for there is no other but that here. And David said, There is none like that; give it to me.
39For as the LORD lives, who saves Israel, though it be Jonathan my son, he shall surely die." But not one of all the people answered him.
