5So Amasa went to gather the men of Judah, but he delayed beyond the appointed time.
27But Absalom urged him, so he let Amnon and all the king's sons go with him.
28Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Watch now when Amnon's heart is merry with wine, and when I say to you, Strike Amnon; then kill him, do not fear: have not I commanded you? Be courageous and be valiant.
14Then Joab said, I cannot linger thus with you. And he took three spears in his hand, and thrust them through the heart of Absalom, while he was still alive in the midst of the oak.
15And ten young men who carried Joab's armor surrounded and struck Absalom, and killed him.
21And Ahithophel said to Absalom, Go in to your father's concubines, whom he has left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that you are abhorred by your father: then shall the hands of all who are with you be strong.
22So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in to his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.
5Moreover, you know also what Joab the son of Zeruiah did to me, and what he did to the two captains of the hosts of Israel, to Abner the son of Ner, and to Amasa the son of Jether, whom he killed, and shed the blood of war in peace, and put the blood of war on his belt that was about his loins, and in his shoes on his feet.
