16 And the king said, You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you, and all your father's house.
17 And the king said to the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not show it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to attack the priests of the LORD.

57 When David returned from killing the Philistine, Abner took him and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand.

11 Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father's house, the priests that were in Nob: and they all came to the king.
27 Then he took his eldest son, who was to reign in his place, and offered him as a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great wrath against Israel, and they departed from him and returned to their own land.
5 And said to him, Behold, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.
