16And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who am I, O LORD God, and what is my house, that you have brought me this far?

4But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrence.

10And on the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the goodness that the LORD had shown to David, and to Solomon, and to Israel His people.
11Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD and the king's house; and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously accomplished.
12And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night and said to him, I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.
22And, lo, while she yet talked with the king, Nathan the prophet also came in.
23And they told the king, saying, Behold Nathan the prophet. And when he came in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground.
24And Nathan said, My lord, O king, have you said, Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne?
7In all the places where I have walked with all the children of Israel, did I speak a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why have you not built me a house of cedar?
1And it happened, when Solomon had finished building the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desires which he was pleased to do,
9Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him peace from all his enemies around: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.
25And now, O LORD God, the word that you have spoken concerning your servant and concerning his house, establish it forever, and do as you have said.
6And he built fortified cities in Judah, for the land was at rest, and he had no war in those years, because the LORD had given him rest.
2Then King David stood up on his feet, and said, Hear me, my brothers, and my people: As for me, I had in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made preparations for the building:
25For David said, The LORD God of Israel has given rest to his people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem forever:
14And the king turned his face around and blessed all the congregation of Israel; (and all the congregation of Israel stood;)
46And also Solomon sits on the throne of the kingdom.
7Nathan said to David, You are the man. Thus says the LORD God of Israel, I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.

7Now therefore thus shall you say to my servant David, Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the sheepfold, even from following the sheep, that you should be ruler over my people Israel:
