4 And he wrote on the tablets, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spoke to you on the mountain out of the midst of the fire on the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them to me.
5 And I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tablets in the ark which I had made; and there they are, as the LORD commanded me.
8 Also in Horeb you provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to destroy you.
9 When I went up into the mountain to receive the tablets of stone, even the tablets of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights, I neither ate bread nor drank water:
10 And the LORD delivered to me two tablets of stone written with the finger of God; and on them were written according to all the words, which the LORD spoke with you on the mountain out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.
11 And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the LORD gave me the two tablets of stone, even the tablets of the covenant.
12 And the LORD said to me, Arise, go down quickly from here; for your people which you have brought out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they have quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made for themselves a molten image.
15 Moses turned and went down from the mountain with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand; the tablets were written on both sides, on one side and on the other.
16 The tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets.
19 As soon as he came near the camp, he saw the calf and the dancing; and Moses' anger burned hot, and he threw the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain.

2 Be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to me at the top of the mountain.

23 And it happened, when you heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain burned with fire,) that you came near to me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;
12 And the LORD said to Moses, Come up to me into the mountain, and be there: and I will give you tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that you may teach them.
4 So he carved two tablets of stone like the first ones; and Moses rose early in the morning and went up to Mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and he took in his hand the two tablets of stone.
5 And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
14 Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of you a nation mightier and greater than they.
21 And I took your sin, the calf which you had made, and burned it with fire, and crushed it, and ground it very small, even until it was as small as dust: and I threw the dust into the brook that came down from the mountain.
13 And he declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, the ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tablets of stone.
4 The LORD talked with you face to face on the mountain out of the midst of the fire,
5 (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to show you the word of the LORD: for you were afraid because of the fire, and did not go up into the mountain;) saying,
18 And he gave to Moses, when he had finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.
29 And it came to pass, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mountain, that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.
17 And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the lower part of the mount.
18 And Mount Sinai was all in smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire, and the smoke went up like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
20 And the LORD came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mount, and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.
10 And I stayed on the mountain, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD listened to me at that time also, and the LORD was not willing to destroy you.
25 So I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty nights, as I fell down at the first; because the LORD had said he would destroy you.
9 There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
17 And the sight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.
24 And I said to them, 'Whoever has any gold, let them break it off.' So they gave it to me, and I threw it into the fire, and this calf came out."
16 According to all that you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb on the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die.
8 They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made a molten calf, have worshiped it, have sacrificed to it, and have said, 'These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.'"
11 And you came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.
13 You came down also on Mount Sinai, and spoke with them from heaven, and gave them just statutes and true laws, good statutes and commandments.
27 And the LORD said to Moses, "Write these words, for according to the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel."
18 Even when they made a molten calf for themselves, and said, 'This is your God that brought you up out of Egypt,' and committed great provocations,
