21 And so terrifying was the sight that Moses said, "I am exceedingly afraid and trembling."
4 The LORD talked with you face to face on the mountain out of the midst of the fire,
5 (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to show you the word of the LORD: for you were afraid because of the fire, and did not go up into the mountain;) saying,
36 Out of heaven he made you to hear his voice, that he might instruct you: and upon earth he showed you his great fire; and you heard his words out of the midst of the fire.
21 So the people stood afar off, but Moses drew near the thick darkness where God was.
22 And the LORD said to Moses, 'Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: You have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
18 And all the people saw the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off.
15 Take therefore good heed to yourselves; for you saw no form on the day that the LORD spoke to you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceedingly loud, so that all the people in the camp trembled.
17 And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the lower part of the mount.
18 And Mount Sinai was all in smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire, and the smoke went up like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
15 And Moses went up into the mountain, and a cloud covered the mountain.
16 And the glory of the LORD abode upon Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
17 And the sight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.
18 And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and went up into the mountain: and Moses was in the mountain forty days and forty nights.
10 Especially the day that you stood before the LORD your God in Horeb, when the LORD said to me, Gather the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
16 According to all that you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb on the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die.
33 Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and live?
34 Or has God attempted to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, by war, by a mighty hand, by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
2 Be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to me at the top of the mountain.
3 No one shall come up with you, nor let anyone be seen throughout all the mountain; neither let the flocks nor herds graze in front of that mountain.
33 Who went in the way before you, to search out a place for you to pitch your tents, in fire by night to show you by what way you should go, and in a cloud by day.
13 Through the brightness before him were coals of fire kindled.

14 And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that you LORD are among this people, that you LORD are seen face to face, and that your cloud stands over them, and that you go before them, by day in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.
12 Moreover, You led them by day with a pillar of cloud, and by night with a pillar of fire, to give them light on the way they should go.
13 You came down also on Mount Sinai, and spoke with them from heaven, and gave them just statutes and true laws, good statutes and commandments.
3 When you did terrible things which we did not look for, you came down, the mountains flowed down at your presence.
5 And what He did for you in the wilderness, until you came to this place;
31 When Moses saw it, he marveled at the sight; and as he drew near to observe, the voice of the Lord came to him,
22 And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days.
12 And you shall set boundaries for the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that you do not go up into the mount, or touch the border of it; whoever touches the mount shall surely be put to death:
