15And on the day that the tabernacle was set up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and in the evening there was over the tabernacle the appearance of fire, until the morning.
16So it was always: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
17And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel set out: and in the place where the cloud stayed, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.
18At the command of the LORD the children of Israel set out, and at the command of the LORD they pitched: as long as the cloud stayed upon the tabernacle they remained in their tents.
19And when the cloud lingered long upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the LORD and did not journey.
20And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the command of the LORD they remained in their tents, and according to the command of the LORD they journeyed.
21And so it was, when the cloud stayed from evening until the morning, and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.
22Or whether it was two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud lingered upon the tabernacle, remaining on it, the children of Israel remained in their tents and did not journey: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.
19And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which you saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh Barnea.
5And what He did for you in the wilderness, until you came to this place;
2And you shall remember all the way which the LORD your God led you these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you, and to test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not.
40But as for you, turn, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea.

3And they commanded the people, saying, When you see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests, the Levites, carrying it, then you shall move from your place and follow it.
4Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before.
8This is what your fathers did when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land.
15You gave them bread from heaven for their hunger, and brought forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promised them that they would go in to possess the land which You had sworn to give them.
27And you murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hates us, He has brought us out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.
23Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then you rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God, and you did not believe him, nor listen to his voice.
31And he said, Do not leave us, I pray you; for you know how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and you may be to us instead of eyes.
7Turn, and take your journey, and go to the mountain of the Amorites, and to all the places near there, in the plain, in the hills, and in the valley, and in the south, and by the sea, to the land of the Canaanites, and to Lebanon, to the great river, the river Euphrates.
8Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give to them and to their descendants after them.
6Neither did they say, Where is the LORD who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, who led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no one passed through, and where no one lived?
36Out of heaven he made you to hear his voice, that he might instruct you: and upon earth he showed you his great fire; and you heard his words out of the midst of the fire.
15And the LORD appeared in the tabernacle in a pillar of a cloud: and the pillar of the cloud stood over the door of the tabernacle.
5And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes have not worn out upon you, and your shoes have not worn out upon your feet.
16(For you know how we lived in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which you passed by;
38To drive out nations from before you greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.
7For the LORD your God has blessed you in all the works of your hands; He knows your walking through this great wilderness. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing.
