And every one of you came near to me, and said, Let us send men before us, and they shall search out the land for us, and bring us back word of the way we must go up and of the cities we will come to.

3And Moses, by the command of the LORD, sent them from the wilderness of Paran. All those men were leaders of the children of Israel.
18And I commanded you at that time all the things which you should do.
19And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which you saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh Barnea.
20And I said to you, You have come to the mountain of the Amorites, which the LORD our God is giving to us.
21Behold, the LORD your God has set the land before you: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of your fathers has told you; do not fear, neither be discouraged.
4Select three men from each tribe, and I will send them. They shall rise and go through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance, and return to me.
33Who went in the way before you, to search out a place for you to pitch your tents, in fire by night to show you by what way you should go, and in a cloud by day.
8This is what your fathers did when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land.
9For when they went up to the valley of Eshcol and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, so that they would not go into the land which the LORD had given them.
40But as for you, turn, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea.
41Then you answered and said to me, We have sinned against the LORD, we will go up and fight, according to all that the LORD our God commanded us. And when you had girded on every man his weapons of war, you were ready to go up into the hill.
42And the LORD said to me, Tell them, Do not go up or fight, because I am not among you; lest you be defeated before your enemies.
17And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said to them, Go up this way southward, and go up into the mountain:
18See the land, how it is; and the people who dwell in it, whether they are strong or weak, few or many;
19And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it is good or bad; and what cities they dwell in, whether in tent camps or fortified cities;
20And what the land is, whether it is rich or poor, whether there is wood in it, or not. Be of good courage, and bring some of the fruit of the land. Now was the time of the first ripe grapes.
21So they went up and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin to Rehob, near the entrance of Hamath.
14And you answered me and said, The thing which you have spoken is good for us to do.
7Turn, and take your journey, and go to the mountain of the Amorites, and to all the places near there, in the plain, in the hills, and in the valley, and in the south, and by the sea, to the land of the Canaanites, and to Lebanon, to the great river, the river Euphrates.
8Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give to them and to their descendants after them.
23Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then you rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God, and you did not believe him, nor listen to his voice.
7And they spoke to all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceedingly good land.
26And they went and came to Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel, to the wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh. They brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.
27And they told him, and said, We came to the land where you sent us, and surely it flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.
11Therefore our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spoke to us, saying, Take provisions with you for the journey, and go to meet them, and say to them, We are your servants: therefore now make a treaty with us.
11And the LORD said to me, Arise, take your journey ahead of the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I swore to their fathers to give to them.
9And they said, Arise, that we may go up against them, for we have seen the land, and behold, it is very good; are you still? Do not be lazy to go and to enter to possess the land.
10When you go, you shall come to a secure people and to a large land, for God has given it into your hands; a place where there is no lack of anything that is on the earth.
16And they answered Joshua, saying, All that you command us we will do, and wherever you send us, we will go.
12Now therefore take twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one man from each tribe.
12And he said to them, No, but to see the nakedness of the land you have come.
8And the men arose and went away; and Joshua charged those who went to describe the land, saying, Go and walk through the land, describe it, and return to me that I may cast lots for you here before the LORD in Shiloh.
9So the men went and passed through the land, and described it by cities into seven parts in a book, and returned to Joshua at Shiloh.
1Then we turned and took our journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea, as the LORD spoke unto me; and we circled Mount Seir many days.
2And the LORD spoke unto me, saying,
10For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt; and what you did unto the two kings of the Amorites, who were on the other side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.
21And will all of you go armed over the Jordan before the LORD, until he has driven out his enemies from before him,
6Then the children of Judah came to Joshua in Gilgal; and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him, You know the thing that the LORD said to Moses the man of God concerning me and you in Kadeshbarnea.
