10And now, behold, the LORD has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years since the LORD spoke this word to Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, lo, I am this day eighty-five years old.
9When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.
10Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
29Your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, who have murmured against me,
13And these bottles of wine, which we filled, were new; and look, they are torn: and these garments and our shoes have become old because of the very long journey.

18But I said to their children in the wilderness, Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers, nor observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:
24You have been rebellious against the LORD from the day that I knew you.
9When I went up into the mountain to receive the tablets of stone, even the tablets of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights, I neither ate bread nor drank water:
27None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the belt of their waists be loosed, nor the strap of their shoes be broken:
