Deuteronomy 5:5
(I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to show you the word of the LORD: for you were afraid because of the fire, and did not go up into the mountain;) saying,

10Especially the day that you stood before the LORD your God in Horeb, when the LORD said to me, Gather the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
11And you came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.
12And the LORD spoke to you out of the midst of the fire: you heard the voice of the words, but saw no form; only you heard a voice.
14And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that you might do them in the land where you go over to possess it.
15Take therefore good heed to yourselves; for you saw no form on the day that the LORD spoke to you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
16According to all that you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb on the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die.
6I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
5And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
15So I turned and came down from the mountain, and the mountain burned with fire: and the two tablets of the covenant were in my two hands.
17And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the lower part of the mount.

36Out of heaven he made you to hear his voice, that he might instruct you: and upon earth he showed you his great fire; and you heard his words out of the midst of the fire.
31But as for you, stand here by me, and I will speak to you all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which you shall teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess.
3And Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him out of the mountain, saying, This is what you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:
8'With him I will speak face to face, clearly, and not in dark speeches; and he will see the likeness of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?'
22And the LORD said to Moses, 'Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: You have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
19For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, with which the LORD was angry against you to destroy you. But the LORD listened to me at that time also.
10And the LORD delivered to me two tablets of stone written with the finger of God; and on them were written according to all the words, which the LORD spoke with you on the mountain out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.
33Who went in the way before you, to search out a place for you to pitch your tents, in fire by night to show you by what way you should go, and in a cloud by day.
5And what He did for you in the wilderness, until you came to this place;
10And I stayed on the mountain, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD listened to me at that time also, and the LORD was not willing to destroy you.
42And the LORD said to me, Tell them, Do not go up or fight, because I am not among you; lest you be defeated before your enemies.
9And I spoke to you at that time, saying, I am not able to bear you myself alone:
5For the LORD had said to Moses, Say to the children of Israel, 'You are a stiff-necked people: I will come up into your midst in a moment and consume you: therefore now take off your ornaments from you, that I may know what to do with you.'
5And he said, Do not draw near here; take off your shoes from your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.
29Then I said to you, Do not be terrified, nor be afraid of them.
5And they brought what Moses commanded before the tent of meeting: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD.
2Be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to me at the top of the mountain.

20And Moses said to the people, 'Do not fear, for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.'
5And I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tablets in the ark which I had made; and there they are, as the LORD commanded me.
12And the LORD said to Moses, Come up to me into the mountain, and be there: and I will give you tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that you may teach them.
5And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
28And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when you spoke to me; and the LORD said to me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken to you: they have spoken well all that they have spoken.
8Also in Horeb you provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to destroy you.
