11 And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the LORD gave me the two tablets of stone, even the tablets of the covenant.
12 And the LORD said to me, Arise, go down quickly from here; for your people which you have brought out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they have quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made for themselves a molten image.

19 And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which you saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh Barnea.
21 Furthermore the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and swore that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go into that good land, which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance:
16 But they and our forefathers acted proudly, hardened their necks, and did not heed Your commandments.
