24You have been rebellious against the LORD from the day that I knew you.
33And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your faithlessness, until your carcasses are consumed in the wilderness.
34After the number of the days in which you searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall you bear your iniquities, even forty years, and you shall know my breach of promise.
18Even when they made a molten calf for themselves, and said, 'This is your God that brought you up out of Egypt,' and committed great provocations,
15You gave them bread from heaven for their hunger, and brought forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promised them that they would go in to possess the land which You had sworn to give them.
16But they and our forefathers acted proudly, hardened their necks, and did not heed Your commandments.
11And the LORD said to Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be before they believe me, for all the signs which I have shown among them?
17And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the Most High in the wilderness.
18And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their desire.
14But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.
5And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes have not worn out upon you, and your shoes have not worn out upon your feet.
39To whom our fathers would not obey, but rejected him, and in their hearts turned back to Egypt,
36He brought them out, after he showed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness for forty years.
4Your clothing did not wear out upon you, neither did your foot swell, these forty years.
21For forty years You sustained them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes did not wear out and their feet did not swell.
7Remember, and do not forget, how you provoked the LORD your God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that you departed out of the land of Egypt, until you came to this place, you have been rebellious against the LORD.
8Also in Horeb you provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to destroy you.
25Did you offer to me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness for forty years, O house of Israel?
56Yet they tempted and provoked the Most High God, and did not keep his testimonies:
9Do not tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by snakes.
29Your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, who have murmured against me,
3The great trials which your eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:
8And might not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that did not set their heart aright, and whose spirit was not steadfast with God.
33Who went in the way before you, to search out a place for you to pitch your tents, in fire by night to show you by what way you should go, and in a cloud by day.
