And the king said again to Esther on the second day during the wine banquet, What is your petition, Queen Esther? It shall be granted to you: and what is your request? It shall be fulfilled, even up to half of the kingdom.

14 In the evening she went, and in the morning she returned to the second house of the women, under the custody of Shaashgaz, the king's eunuch, who kept the concubines: she came to the king no more, unless the king delighted in her, and she was called by name.
15 Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, came to go in to the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king's eunuch, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who looked upon her.
16 So Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus into his royal house in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
17 And the king loved Esther more than all the women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.
18 Then the king made a great feast for all his princes and his servants, even Esther's feast; and he made a release to the provinces, and gave gifts, according to the state of the king.
19 And when the virgins were gathered together the second time, Mordecai sat in the king's gate.
10 On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven eunuchs who served in the presence of King Ahasuerus,
1 On that day, King Ahasuerus gave the house of Haman, the enemy of the Jews, to Queen Esther. And Mordecai came before the king, for Esther had revealed who he was to her.

8 So it came to pass, when the king's commandment and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered together at Shushan the palace, under the custody of Hegai, that Esther was also brought to the king's house, under the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.
9 And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness from him; and he speedily gave her her things for purification, with such things as belonged to her, and seven maidens, suitable to be given to her, from the king's house: and he preferred her and her maids to the best place of the house of the women.
12 Haman said moreover, Yes, Queen Esther did let no man come in with the king to the banquet that she had prepared, but myself; and tomorrow I am invited to her also with the king.
19 If it pleases the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it shall not be altered, that Vashti shall no more come before King Ahasuerus, and let the king give her royal estate to another who is better than she.
1 After these things, when the wrath of King Ahasuerus was appeased, he remembered Vashti, and what she had done, and what was decreed against her.
2 Then the king's servants who served him said, "Let beautiful young virgins be sought for the king."
8 Also he gave him a copy of the written decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to show it to Esther and explain it to her, and to charge her to go to the king, to plead with him and make a request before him for her people.
7 Then King Ahasuerus said to Queen Esther and to Mordecai the Jew, Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and he has been hanged on the gallows, because he laid his hand on the Jews.
14 And while they were still talking with him, the king's chamberlains came, and hurried to bring Haman to the banquet that Esther had prepared.
23 And he swore to her, Whatever you ask of me, I will give it to you, up to half of my kingdom.
15 Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai:

3 In the third year of his reign, he made a feast for all his princes and his servants; the power of Persia and Media, the nobles and princes of the provinces, being before him.
