19If you are honest men, let one of your brothers be bound in the house of your prison: go, carry grain for the famine of your houses:
20But bring your youngest brother to me; so shall your words be proven true, and you shall not die. And they did so.
21And they said one to another, We are truly guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he begged us, and we would not listen; therefore this distress has come upon us.
17And the men said unto her, We will be blameless of this your oath which you have made us swear.
20And said, O sir, we indeed came down the first time to buy food:
21And it came to pass, when we reached the inn, that we opened our sacks, and behold, every man's money was in the mouth of his sack, our money in full weight: and we have brought it again with us.
22And other money we have brought down in our hands to buy food: we do not know who put our money in our sacks.
14And the men answered her, Our life for yours, if you do not reveal this our business. And it shall be, when the LORD has given us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with you.
20And we said to my lord, We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, a little one; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother, and his father loves him.
32And the men are shepherds, for their occupation has been to feed livestock; and they have brought their flocks, herds, and all that they have.
15But the men were very good to us, and we were not harmed, nor did we miss anything, as long as we were associating with them, when we were in the fields.
16They were a wall to us both by night and day, all the while we were with them keeping the sheep.
22And we said to my lord, The lad cannot leave his father: for if he should leave his father, his father would die.
14Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell:
16And Judah said, What shall we say to my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God has found out the iniquity of your servants: behold, we are my lord's servants, both we, and also he with whom the cup is found.
18And the men were afraid, because they were brought into Joseph's house; and they said, Because of the money that was returned in our sacks the first time we are brought in; that he may seek an occasion against us, and fall upon us, and take us as slaves, along with our donkeys.
5Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not act according to all the things for which the LORD your God shall send you to us.
18And his brothers also went and fell down before his face, and they said, Behold, we are your servants.
