9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than the former, says the LORD of hosts: and in this place I will give peace, says the LORD of hosts.
10 On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet, saying,
1 And now, O you priests, this commandment is for you.
7 For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth; for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.
8 But you have turned out of the way; you have caused many to stumble at the law; you have corrupted the covenant of Levi, says the LORD of hosts.

12 Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him; and the people feared the presence of the LORD.
13 Then Haggai, the LORD'S messenger, spoke the LORD'S message to the people, saying, 'I am with you,' says the LORD.
6 A son honors his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is my honor? and if I be a master, where is my fear? says the LORD of hosts to you, O priests, that despise my name. And you say, How have we despised your name?
7 You offer defiled bread upon my altar; and you say, How have we polluted you? In that you say, The table of the LORD is contemptible.
4 Moreover, he commanded the people who dwelt in Jerusalem to give the portion of the priests and the Levites, that they might be encouraged in the law of the LORD.
9 Then we asked those elders and said to them, Who commanded you to build this house and to finish these walls?
9 Have you not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made yourselves priests like the peoples of other lands? So that whoever comes to consecrate himself with a young bull and seven rams, the same may be a priest of those who are no gods.
15 And she said to them, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me,
9 and you shall come to the priests, the Levites, and to the judge who is in office in those days, and inquire, and they shall declare to you the verdict of the judgment.
12 And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Michaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asahiah, a servant of the king's, saying,
13 Go, inquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not heeded the words of this book, to do according to all that is written concerning us.
18 And the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying,
13 You said also, Behold, what a weariness it is! and you have sneered at it, says the LORD of hosts; and you brought what was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus you brought an offering: should I accept this from your hand? says the LORD.
8 The priests did not say, Where is the LORD? and those who handle the law did not know me: the shepherds also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.
12 Then they said, We will restore them, and will require nothing from them; we will do as you say. Then I called the priests and required an oath from them that they would do according to this promise.
17 You have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet you say, How have we wearied him? When you say, Everyone that does evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delights in them; or, Where is the God of justice?
13 Gird yourselves, and lament, you priests: howl, you ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, you ministers of my God: for the grain offering and the drink offering are withheld from the house of your God.
35 Thus shall you say every one to his neighbor, and every one to his brother, 'What has the LORD answered?' and, 'What has the LORD spoken?'
5 And they said to him, Please inquire of God, that we may know whether our way which we go shall be successful.
63 And the governor said to them that they should not eat of the most holy things until there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.
1 Thus says the LORD, Go and get a potter's earthen bottle, and take some of the elders of the people, and of the elders of the priests;
20 And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, who stood above the people, and said to them, Thus says God, Why do you transgress the commandments of the LORD, so that you cannot prosper? Because you have forsaken the LORD, He has also forsaken you.
5 And said to them, Hear me, Levites, sanctify yourselves now and sanctify the house of the LORD God of your fathers, and carry out the filthiness from the holy place.
26 And as for the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the LORD, so shall you say to him, Thus says the LORD God of Israel concerning the words which you have heard;
15 Also, before they burned the fat, the priest's servant would come and say to the man who sacrificed, Give meat to roast for the priest, for he will not take boiled meat from you, but raw.
17 Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare your people, O LORD, and give not your heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, Where is their God?
