James 1:23
For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;

19 Therefore, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger:
18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
13 Who is wise and endowed with knowledge among you? Let him show by good conduct his works with the meekness of wisdom.
14 But if you have bitter envy and strife in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.
23 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.
20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?
17 And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in reverent fear;
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.
21 Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; who have eyes, and see not; who have ears, and hear not:
