    7Now when all the captains of the forces who were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed to him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the land, of those who were not carried away captive to Babylon;

    8Then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.

    9And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan swore to them and to their men, saying, Do not fear to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.

    10As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah to serve the Chaldeans, who will come to us: but you, gather wine, and summer fruits, and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that you have taken.

    11Likewise when all the Jews that were in Moab, and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and who were in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan;

    6Even men, and women, and children, and the king's daughters, and every person that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah.

  • 10But Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, left some of the poor of the people who had nothing in the land of Judah and gave them vineyards and fields at the same time.

  • 22They shall be carried to Babylon, and there they shall be until the day that I visit them, says the LORD; then I will bring them up, and restore them to this place.

  • 25And they returned from exploring the land after forty days.

  • 12And all the people went their way to eat and drink, and to send portions, and to make great rejoicing, because they had understood the words that were declared to them.

  • 40Moreover, those who were near them, from as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought food on donkeys, camels, mules, and oxen; provisions of flour, cakes of figs, clusters of raisins, wine and oil, oxen and sheep in abundance, for there was joy in Israel.

  • 44Men shall buy fields for money, and sign documents, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places around Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, says the LORD.

  • 24And there shall dwell in Judah itself, and in all its cities together, farmers, and those who go forth with flocks.

  • 6And Ishmael the son of Nethaniah went forth from Mizpah to meet them, weeping as he went: and it came to pass, as he met them, he said to them, Come to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam.

  • 10And on the vine were three branches: and it seemed to bud, and its blossoms burst forth, and its clusters produced ripe grapes:

  • 15So the king returned, and came to the Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, to meet the king, to conduct the king over the Jordan.

  • 1The LORD showed me, and behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD, after Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.

  • 16So the people went out and brought them, and made themselves booths, each one on the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the Water Gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.
